Qualifications/Duties
LMSW, LPC, LCSW, or LCDC required

Minimum Education Requirements:
Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling or completed coursework for LCDC

Minimum Experience Requirements:
2 years previous Psychiatric Social Work or Substance Abuse Counseling experience required

Minimum Licensure/Certification:
Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas or Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor

HOURS: Monday – Friday from 7a to 3p

Job Duties includes but not limited to:

Provides group psychotherapy and counseling utilizing modalities consistent with Springwood philosophy for adult substance abuse patients and other populations as needed. Therapy services to include process group, CBT, disease education, psycho educational groups, multifamily group, and individual therapy.

Provide case management services consistent with patient’s level of functioning and biopsychosocial needs including treatment planning, coordinating care with treatment team, psychosocial assessments, family assessments, ongoing safety risk assessment, assisting the patient in the development of an effective discharge plan, and collaborating with family and community providers.

Assess and reassess mental health and substance abuse conditions and provide recommendation for appropriate level of care or to provide appropriate intervention as indicated.

Document care provided according to regulatory and facility requirements.

Interface with third party payor sources to obtain authorization for care.

Work together with center treatment team to provide patient care and office tasks as needed.

Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication.
